Q:
How much water can my roof catch? |
A:
Every 1mm of rain that falls on each square metre of roof area equals 1 litre into your tank. Therefore if you multiply your roof area by your rainfall it will give you the total litres you can potentially catch & use. |

Q:
Where & how do I locate my tank? |
A:
The slimline design of a Rainhaven™ tank means they can be located against a wall & under the eave-line of your house or outbuilding, still allowing for access past the tank. Also ideally it should be positioned so that it can be plumbed into an existing downpipe or directly into a gutter to collect the roofwater. The tank should be sited on a concrete slab, existing path or prepared base of 1/4 minus or gravel. If desired, a Rainhaven™ tank can also be seated on a suitable platform or stand. It is essential that the base is level. For further information about installing your tank refer to the Rainhaven™ tank installation guide. |

Q:
How long will the water in the tank last? |
A:
This of course depends on the useage rate, but as a guide, watering a garden by hose with average pressure would use between 6 to 7 litres per minute. So from a 2000 litre tank, you could water for approximately 5 hours from full to empty. |

We recommend that tanks be installed by a licensed plumber. Ask your plumber about the installation & use of accessories such as water pumps, diverters & filtration devices for use with your Rainhaven™ tank. |
